PMO Lead

 

 

Role Overview

As ZebPays PMO Lead, the candidate will ensure that business projects are executed effectively and efficiently. The primary goal is to oversee projects and develop and maintain project management methodologies, standards and tools. This role will require working closely with ZebPay?s executive team and business leaders to set, monitor and execute on varied business objectives.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, Program Manager or PMO Officer, with a proven track record of successful project delivery, an ability to improve project management practices and substantial team leadership experience with a focus on team development.

 

Experience working with JIRA is preferred

 

Masters in computer science, or business

 

PMP Certification preferred

 

Job Responsibilities

Developing and leading the project/program management office (PMO): The PMO is a ?Centre of Excellence? that helps achieve better quality, consistency and oversight of projects across an enterprise by developing and maintaining project management methodologies (primarily agile practices and scrum framework), standards and tools.

 

Establishing the organization?s approach to the full life cycle of projects: This includes everything from project planning, initiation, resourcing and execution to monitoring, control and completion. The PMO leader will work with business sponsors to develop project roadmaps that align with business objectives and take into account resource availability.

 

Ensuring the PMO meets performance targets: Align with the organization?s strategic objectives and adhere to best practices. Planning, tracking and managing cost, schedule, and scope for all projects.

 

Acting as a trusted strategic advisor: Work alongside business leaders and team leads to help determine which projects should be undertaken, why and when, not just how.

 

Governance: Ensuring that communication to different stakeholders (including senior management) & decisions are taken by the right people, based on the right information presented. The governance role can also include audit or peer reviews, developing project and program structures and ensuring accountability.

 

Transparency: Providing information with a single source of the truth. Information should be relevant and accurate to support effective decision-making by stakeholders (including senior

management). Maintain the organizational level dashboard or project level dashboard.

 

Reusability: Stopping project teams from reinventing the wheel by being a central point for lessons learned templates and best practice.

 

Delivery support: Making it easy for project teams to do their jobs by reducing bureaucracy, providing training, mentoring, guidance, and quality assurance.

 

Traceability: Providing the function for managing documentation, project history and organizational knowledge.

 

Skills

?Strong leadership skills, ability to escalate issues, challenges and risk to senior executives effectively

?Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

?Gathering data about project progress and producing reports

?Develop and maintain standards and processes

?Encouraging (or enforcing where necessary) the use of those standards and processes

?Managing resources for projects

?Delivering training and mentoring project team members

?Managing dependencies across multiple projects

?Reporting on financial information such as return on investment

?Experience in working with agile lifecycle and/or tracking and process management tools, e.g. JIRA

?Identify and analyze cross program opportunities and make tactical/strategic recommendations

?Hands on project management approach that includes a proven track record of project/program execution

?Financial services (or Crypto industry) industry experience preferred
